The Long Road West and the setting Sun

Starting out on my drive for this trip I always wonder if there will be any mechanical issues or other things that could ruin an adventure.  Listening to the car run for hours at a time can be droning but you can change the pitch of the orchestra by pressing the gas pedal down a bit farther.  Cruising speed is a good 85-90 mph with a top speed of around 110 mph,  100 mph is great fun but the concentration level gets too heavy for extended times.  As the thoughts bounce around in your head while driving there always seems to be something that makes the trip special.  On this trip I was passed by a new Porsche GT-3,  this is Porsche’s super car or street legal racecar.  The one I  saw still had the dealer temporary plates and it appeared to have been just purchased.  I hope to someday have the means to afford a car like this,  but for now my Fiats keep me entertained.  I was given two thumbs up by the Porsche driver and passenger when they pulled along side of the  Fiat.  Its not very often that you see a 37 year old Fiat out and about.
